Jointly based at Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School, the Program in the Law and Economics of Capital Markets aims to advance informed capital markets regulation as well as the efficient operation of the markets themselves.
Further developing the joint Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School Capital Markets Regulation course as well as the materials necessary for other universities to provide the course;
Conducting a comprehensive New Special Study of the securities markets;
Drafting what we hope will be the seminal treatise on capital markets regulation; and
Bringing together experts from the legal and business academy, government, industry, and legal practice at our Fellows Workshops for high-level discussions of current issues relating to the legal regulation of capital markets and the economic forces that drive both the markets themselves as well as their regulation
