Brandon Becker is the Managing Director & Deputy General Counsel at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. Mr. Becker formerly served as Senior Counsel at WilmerHale where he provides regulatory advice to financial institutions. Prior to this, Mr. Becker was Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at TIAA-CREF. Before joining TIAA-CREF, Mr. Becker was a partner in the Securities Department at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. At the firm, he chaired the Broker-Dealer Compliance and Regulation Practice Group.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Becker served as a lawyer at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission from 1976 to 1996, including a tenure as Director of the Division of Trading and Markets. He was also the Commission's representative to the Secondary Markets Working Party of the International Organization of Securities Commissions.

Mr. Becker is a current member and former Chair of the Subcommittee on Market Regulation of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law. He serves on the editorial advisory boards for International Finance, BNA Securities Regulation and Law Report, Journal of Investment Compliance, and wallstreetlawyer.com. Previously, he served as a staff member of the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets
