Professor Langevoort teaches at Georgetown Law, where his course offerings have included Securities Regulation, Corporations, Contracts, and a variety of seminars on corporate and securities issues. He has won both the Frank Flegal Teaching Award at Georgetown as well as the Paul J. Hartman Award for Excellence in Teaching at Vanderbilt. In addition to the numerous scholarly articles he has published, he is the co-author (along with James Cox and Robert Hillman) of the highly-regarded casebook Securities Regulation: Cases and Materialsand author of the treatise Insider Trading: Regulation, Enforcement and Prevention.

Before entering academia, Professor Langevoort practiced law at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C. and served as Special Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel of the United States Securities Commission.
