Dr. Bennett currently teaches managerial economics at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University. His research interests focus on financial markets, banking, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and monetary policy. Before teaching at Fordham, he was a visiting professor at Rutgers University from 2009 to 2011.
From 2001 through 2008, Dr. Bennett was Chief Economist of the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to working at the exchange, he was Senior Vice President with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York -- where he worked from 1978 to 2001. Dr. Bennett also served as the head of the Capital Markets Research division at the Federal Reserve.
